CNAPP+ is the next evolution of CNAPP — the canonical five pillars (CSPM, CIEM, CWPP, CDR, Code Security), plus four capabilities CNAPP's industry definition leaves out: Agentic JIT across every identity surface (humans, machines, AI agents), Code-to-Cloud lineage that ties a PR to the runtime resource it produces, compliance as a first-class data object (not just a report), and data-aware controls (database activity, JIT, residency) that protect the asset CSPM still pretends is just a configuration.

The Gartner CNAPP definition was a great consolidation move — collapse five point tools into one platform.
