How an attack unfolds

How to fix it

Upgrade zarf (Chainguard) and zarf (Wolfi) packages to version 0.60.0-r2 or later; apply upstream patch db856d41004301b3a56438efd957ef5cabb91530 when building from source; rebuild any downstream packages that statically link the affected BFD library.
