What it actually does
Mismatched definitions of maximum surfaces in the AMD display driver (MAX_SURFACES vs MAX_SURFACE_NUM) lead to invalid memory access during stream updates in copy_stream_update_to_stream, resulting in a kernel page fault on systems with two overlay planes.
