What it actually does
NULL pointer dereference in hclge_ptp_get_rx_hwts when hdev->ptp is NULL on HIP08 devices that receive 1588 PTP frames setting HNS3_RXD_TS_VLD_B, causing kernel crash via hns3 receive path.

How an attack unfolds
An attacker or misbehaving network device sends IEEE 1588 PTP packets toward a HIP08-based hns3 interface; the driver processes the receive descriptor, reaches hclge_ptp_get_rx_hwts without a registered ptp context, and dereferences a NULL pointer, triggering the crash.
How to fix it
Apply the upstream fix contained in commit 23ec1cec24293f9799c725941677d4e167997265 or later stable kernels; ensure HIP08 devices register ptp context before enabling RX timestamp processing or drop 1588 frames in hardware if PTP is unused.
How to confirm the fix worked
Confirm the patch commit is present in the running kernel tree; inject 1588 PTP traffic in a lab environment and verify no NULL dereference occurs in hclge_ptp_get_rx_hwts.
