What it actually does

The imon USB driver probes a second interface and blindly casts drvdata from the first interface to struct imon_context without verifying the bound driver, allowing type confusion and memory corruption when a malformed descriptor causes the first interface to bind elsewhere.

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing commit 0f5068519f89d928d6c51100e4b274479123829f or later; apply the corresponding package updates such as ansible 7.7.0+dfsg-3+deb12u1 on Debian 12 or 9.4.0+dfsg-1 on Debian 13 where the kernel is rebuilt with the fix.
