What it actually does
Incorrect use of NR_CPUS instead of nr_cpu_ids when iterating CPUs in show_cpuinfo triggers cpu_max_bits_warn() at runtime under CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK combined with CONFIG_DEBUG_PER_CPU_MAPS.

Produces spurious kernel warnings during normal access to processor information, potentially increasing log noise and complicating troubleshooting with no material operational disruption.
How an attack unfolds
No active exploitation path exists; the condition surfaces as a debug warning when user-space tools or monitoring read /proc/cpuinfo on kernels built with the two debug configurations enabled.

Apply the upstream fix present in commit 8fbb57eabfc8ae67115cb47f904614c99d626a89 or later stable kernels containing this change; rebuild and deploy updated kernel packages across affected systems.
